Tea and Champagne in London

My son Tom is a hospitality student at Boston University just finishing a semester in London where he interned for Morgans Hotel Group. Two London hotels fall under the umbrella of Morgans Hotel Group:  Sanderson, which I mentioned in an earlier post, and St. Martins Lane.

So when I post things about hotels and travel, you’ll understand why. I love how grown children open new doors for us, teaching us things we wouldn’t otherwise see under a blanket reading books, which is where we’d be otherwise.

Do visit the links if you want, because these two luxury boutique hotels are unusual and interesting to see. We were given a tour of Sanderson including rooms, and I took photos. Here are just some. The official web sites do it much better justice, of course.

As a surprise, our whole family was treated to afternoon tea and champagne! Sanderson features a beautiful “Mad Hatter’s” afternoon tea.

Fashion Daydreams blog gives a complete perspective on Sanderson Mad Hatter’s tea. Please visit her to see the complete array of tea goodies!

Now that I’m back home, I’m thinking about employing my own tea cups for vegan tea in the New Year:
